The art I create originates as a photograph and reflects personal aesthetics of subject, colors, composition and storytelling. I choose subjects for which I have an affinity and paint in impressionistic styles.
This art evolved from a photograph of the Estuary Groper - reef fish in Hawaii. The photograph was used as inspiration and a guide for this original digital oil painting. I painted mostly with thick oil paint brushes.
The reproduction of the art is represented best when the image is large and printed on a textured paper.
My interest in interior design leads me to make art that integrates into contemporary interior design while resonating with the owner's personal tastes. I hope you enjoy the beauty of the piece as I do. I welcome your questions and comments.
